Milieu Therapist at Children’s Health

Description:

This is an outstanding opportunity for you as a Milieu Therapist at our Plano campus to play an important part in helping Children’s Health make life better for children. Working as part of our multidisciplinary team, you’ll use your training and skills to provide evidence-based care to patients, deliver instruction to patients and their families.

 In addition to patient care, you’ll have opportunities to expand your skills through continuing education, and you’ll help develop educational programs for other staff. You will also be responsible for direct patient care, including assisting patients with activities of daily living and personal care.  You will also be providing support to RNs by assisting with the collaboration of vital signs, data, and specimens and appropriate per education and training.

Shift: part-time 0.6 -48hrs per pay period.

 

Experience

• Preferred: Experience in child adolescent therapy

Education

• Required: Four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Licenses and certifications

• Required: BLS through the American Heart Association
• Required: Pediatric Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PPMAB) within 60 days of hire, with annual renewal.
• Required: Pediatric Yoga Instructor Certification if performing yoga therapy.
