Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide support for the Talent Acquisition strategy and processes including but not limited to posting requisitions, monitoring candidate flow, reviewing background checks/references, etc.
Responsible for managing the new hire process for all Cudahy based employees including managing the new hire and onboarding processes and procedures.
Responsible for ensuring that all employee data is accurate in HRIS, organizational charts and other related systems/documents.
Responsible for extracting, analyzing and preparing reports with Human Resources metrics and data.
Track hourly employee performance issues to ensure appropriate corrective action steps are taken and are in line with the collective bargaining agreement
Assist with developing reporting and monitoring EEO compliance and Affirmative Action programs including assisting with drafting the annual AAP.
Process all new hire, promotions, demotions, terminations, etc. in HRIS and ensure all employee files are updated as required.
Assist/Coordinate Time and Attendance
Assist with the administration of benefit programs
Skills and Competencies - identify the ALE competencies that are most critical for success in the role
Working knowledge of all aspects of a Human Resources department with a strong emphasis on HR administration.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience with using everyday tools (e.g., email, data retrieval, voicemail, and internet/intranet)
Ability to promote the delivery of exceptional customer service to both internal (staff) and external customers (visitors and vendors)
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and HRIS systems
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing needs especially during times of high volume and / or stress
Ability to draft professional communication such as letters, memos, policies, agendas, meeting minutes
Exceptional prioritization, time management and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
Ability to resolve conflict directly and productively
Education and Experience
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in Business Administration with emphasis in Human Resources Management. Associates Degree required.
Experience Requirements: 2-5 years of experience as a HR Administrator / Generalist Manufacturing experience highly preferred but not required.
Certification Requirements: PHR preferred but not required.
Physical Demands
Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto to remote sites. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations. Employee is able to work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time.
Work Environment
Primary work environment is temperature controlled office setting but may also be visiting different customers
where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required.
