Position reports to USBHM Chief Credit Officer and manages a team whose responsibilities include (1) Residential Mortgage Credit Policy, (2) Credit Risk Rules Automation and (3) Advanced Credit Risk Modeling and Structuring. Position establishes credit policy for all loans originated by US Bank Home Mortgage for both Retail and Correspondent channels. This position Chairs the Credit Policy Council and is responsible for ensuring credit policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to with the objective of achieving loan quality and performance targets and growth objectives. In addition, this position handles the credit relationship with Agency and Government credit departments and Corporate Credit Administration. Position develops and maintains digital rules data base of credit policy and underwriting guidelines. Works with business operations to develop and implement automated process and systems for loan decisioning and production in compliance with mortgage loan credit and investor requirements. Establishes Credit Guidelines for new products/processes as part of product development team, and provides other support functions related to clarity and execution of credit policies (i.e. Credit Policy Help Line).
