Responsible for assessing, organizing and administering respiratory care in accordance with physician orders - including mechanical ventilation management -conventional as well as HFOV & Nitric Oxide therapy, airway management – including Heliox, and pulmonary hygiene. Provide medication administration including surfactant as well as HHNs. Performs and / or assists with endotracheal intubations. Perform as well as analyze arterial and capillary blood gas punctures. Assist with transports of intubated patients within the hospital as well as neonatal ground transport. Perform as member of the 'CODE' team, as well as member of 'High Risk Delivery Team' with primary airway management responsibilities, including neonatal intubation and resuscitation.
Applicant must be a graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Care. Two years experience in NICU/SCN/Pediatric setting preferred.Current NBRC registration (RRT credentials) andMassachusetts Respiratory Care License required. BLS and NRP certification required. PALS or ENPC certification required.ACLS certification preferred but not required.
