We are currently seeking a full-time Network Technician I to serve our valued client in the Bloomington, Illinois area.

Reports to: Technology Director % Travel Up to 25%
The Network Technician I serves as internal IT support to employees of RR and will provide project-related support to staging and field technicians, device programming and diagnostics, and other tasks as assigned.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
The following areas of responsibility represent Key Results Areas (KRA’s) for which performance will be measured:
Internal Customer Support
Through the internal IT Help Line, receives and initiates documentation for incoming employee IT-related issues.
Executes new employee IT onboarding as it relates to communication and computing needs.
Performs laptop imaging to existing machines to be reallocated to employees.
Identifies, analyzes and troubleshoots a wide range of complex, technical computer and network-related problems.
As directed by supervisor, may collaborate with sales team to recommend purchases and technologies that may benefit our clients.
External Customer Support
Provides customer support in the form of training, on-site and off-site technical support.
Delivers customer support both in-person and over the phone in a professional manner.
Supports Advanced Services Engineer and Enterprise Architect on daily network design questions and considerations.
Supports Project Managers with IT information and system operation as it pertains to LAN, WAN, or other network considerations.
Serves as IT subject matter expert for installations including on-site work, as required.
Acquires and maintain training to develop and maintain the skills required to provide the highest level of integration support for products that the company promotes.
Ensures consistent adherence to company established technical service standards, thereby insuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Communicates regularly with Technology Director on proposed systems to maintain proper networking compatibility standards.
Resolves internal and external customer IT-related problems or complaints.
Provides proper tools, materials and test equipment to maintain the highest technical quality possible within the constraints of strong financial management.
Maintains sufficient supplies and materials inventory levels to ensure adequate availability for IT-related projects.
Verifies hardware and software functionality as engineered.
Provides feedback on solution viability as it pertains to integrations with other systems and products.
Internal and External Customer Training
Provides training as required.
Interprets quick user guides which summarizes the training content to send to Clients during training presentation.
Performs work in adherence to OSHA and company safety policies and procedures as they are introduced to the Company; promptly reports unsafe work conditions to supervisor.
Cultivates positive working relationships within and across departments.
Engages in behaviors that foster a healthy work environment and company culture.
Presents self in a professional manner and appropriately represents the Company image.
Adheres to company-issued policies, procedures, core values, behavioral or other standards as prescribed by the Company.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Basic knowledge of networking theory and practices.
Knowledge and experience installing and troubleshooting an RR installation.
Proficiency in programs as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and CMR.
Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively handle stressful situations.
Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
Must be solution-focused, personable, forward-thinking and extremely organized.
Possess adequate communication, customer service and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external team members.

Required Education and/or Work Experience
Associates degree or equivalent job-related work experience.
Network+ certification within 90 days.
ICND within 1st year.
Experience with network equipment programming.
Experience working with ticketing systems.
Understand the functionality of IT networks.
Proficiency with construction techniques and structured cabling.
