Saint Alphonsus Medical Group and Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Nampa have an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Neurology physician to join a large multi-specialty group at a practice located in Nampa, Idaho.
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 480+ provider multispecialty group seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurology physician who is committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care. As the regional provider of advanced neurological services, Saint Alphonsus neurologists provide care for patients with complex conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, seizures, and general neurological disease.
This role will have a minor outpatient clinic component; however, a majority of the scheduled time will be spent in the inpatient setting working in collaboration with key departments to prepare for a Primary Stroke designation. Additionally, this physician would collaborate with Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center-Boise, Comprehensive Stroke Center, inpatient neurologists to ensure both campuses have appropriate inpatient stroke and neurology coverage. The Saint Alphonsus Neuroscience Institute promotes collaboration with a team of general neurosurgeons, vascular neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, vascular neurologists, neuropathologists, neuro-otolaryngologists physiatrists, neuro-ophthalmologist and oncologists.
Emergency Department after hours call is shared equitably with other eligible members of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center's Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery.
Support for this role comes from a well-established neurology outpatient clinic and inpatient neurology program located in Boise, as well as third party tele-stroke services staffed by vascular neurologists, stroke coordinators, interventional neuroradiology service including: biplane angiography, MRI/ MRA, CT/CTA, CT perfusion, 4-vessel angiography, and interventional stroke and aneurysm procedures.
The selected physician will have completed a doctor of medicine (MD) or a doctor of osteopathy (DO) degree (MD/DO) and an accredited Neurology residency. They will possess, or be able to obtain within three years of employment, Board Certification in Neurology through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry or its equivalent. They must possess a current, unrestricted full license in Idaho to practice medicine in all its phases; valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and a DEA.
