As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will lead industrial engineering activities on rocket launch vehicles and spacecraft. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.
+ Develop and maintain capacity models of New Glenn Manufacturing.
+ Perform Time and Motion Studies to improve employee effectiveness.
+ Develop and maintain production Master Schedules.
+ Lead projects to eliminate waste, reduce process time, and improve outcomes.
+ Develop schedule recovery plans.
+ Maintain and report on manufacturing schedule and budget.
+ Develop labor and flow estimates.
+ Mentor and educate on industrial engineering concepts, theories and practice.
+ Develop and maintain predecessor successor task relationships.
+ Use of process mapping, Kaizen, and other tools to dramatically reduce cycle time, defects and waste.
+ This position will be located at our Orbital Launch Manufacturing Complex in Merritt Island, FL.
+ B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research.
+ 10+ years of demonstrated resourcefulness and execution within complex, rapidly-changing manufacturing environments.
+ Experience with stochastic modelling of manufacturing processes.
+ Experience with discrete event simulation modelling.
+ Desire to work hands-on, both independently and as part of a team, throughout the development and production phases of the product lifecycle.
+ Experience in developing work sequencing, flow time estimating and labor estimating.
+ Strong written and oral communication skills.
+ Experience in both development and production environments.
+ Experience with crew cycling in an assembly environment.
+ Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time.
+ Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
+ Passion for advancing the commercial space industry and human spaceflight.
+ M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research.
+ Experience in small company, startup, or growth transition environments.
+ Kaizen, Six Sigma, or related training.
+ Experience with bar charts.
