The international biomedical journal Nature Medicine is currently accepting applications for its science writing internship. The intern will be closely involved in the editorial process and write news articles, long-form features and briefs. The internship will be based in the New York offices of Springer Nature, a major new force in scientific, scholarly, professional and educational publishing. Springer Nature was created through the combination of Nature Publishing Group, Palgrave Macmillan, Macmillan Education and Springer Science+Business Media in May 2015.

The intern will be closely involved in the editorial process and write news articles, long-form features and briefs. This is not a paper-pushing internship! The person selected for the position will be reporting stories and working on editorial content. Applicants should have completed one year in a graduate program in journalism or have equivalent work experience in journalism. Additionally, a strong understanding of biology and current issues in medicine is required.
This three-month, paid internship and will start in September 2019 and be based in our New York offices.
