|Working Title||Nurse Midwife|
The Maternal Child Health program for the Department of Family and Community Medicine seeks a Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Midwife or Physician Assistant to work with our Maternal and Child Health Services. Responsibilities and duties include post-partum rounds and care of mothers and babies, evaluations of infants less than one week of age in a newborn clinic, caring for infants with neonatal abstinence syndrome and Lactation support. This individual will participate with educational activities for residents and medical students on MCH team including orientation of new interns and medical students. This clinician will also retrieve and collect data on MCH activities as a part of our continuity quality improvement and patient safety efforts. The position is a 40 hour per week and will include two afternoons of outpatient care with the Milagro /Focus clinics at Family Practice Center and Southeast Heights center.

|Conditions of Employment|
Master's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities, which may include practicum. Certification/Licensure A New Mexico Department of Health CNM License (or eligible). A valid license that meets the New Mexico Board of Nursing's requirement to practice as a registered nurse in New Mexico (or eligible). Participation in the Certificate Maintenance Program with the American Midwifery Certification Board (or eligible).
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
