A Day in the Life of a Physician's Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
Every day will be unique and every day you will have the opportunity to help those in need. The ideal nurse practitioner will provide quality medical care through the assessment and treatment process to all patients, as well as help provide primary care and personal interactions with our unique patients. Each day you'll be making a difference in the life of another, in a personal and profound way.
Nurse practitioners will also perform physical exams and patient observations to help in the healing and recovery process. You will work one on one with patients to create patient care plans as well as contribute to existing plans. Nurses will order, administer and analyze diagnostic tests for patients. It's a hands on, personal experience to make a difference in the community and to help individuals in their recovery process.
Physician's Assistant / Nurse Practitioner- Qualifications
- Possess empathy and excellent communication skills with patients and colleagues
- Must be either a licensed psych nurse practitioner or a family nurse practitioner
- Must have experience treating patients with substance abuse
- Enjoy helping people
- experience in psych preferred
- Board Certification in Addiction Medicine is a plus.
