SUMMARY - Responsible for performing patient evaluations, reviewing pretreatment teaching, recommending therapeutic intervention, counseling patients and families and collaborating with appropriate physicians to provide other appropriate direct care interventions within the scope of practice for nurse practitioner in collaboration with the Thoracic Disease Program Director. Primary point of contact and assumes responsibilities for managing the care for patients.
Master’s in nursing from an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners.
Minimum 3 years clinical experience in related area or specialty field.
Specific training in area of Thoracic Disease.
AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.
Registered in AZ as nurse practitioner. Hold and maintain national certification in NP area, under AZ regulations.
American Heart Association BCLS
ACLS Specialty certification when applicable; acceptable if obtained within the first 18months.
