Summary of Duties: The Nurse Practitioner in Washington On Wheels (WOW) is responsible for direct and indirect patient care for children and adults. Responsible for operations management of the mobile clinic including supervision and administration of health services and programs. You will be responsible for planning and operations of the activities in the mobile van, and also responsible for the supervision of the medical assistants. You may also be assigned other duties as required.
Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner). National Nurse Practitioner Certification.
Licensure/Certification Requirements: Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License, CA RN License, National Nurse Practitioner certification, AHA BLS required. Active furnishing number preferred. Public Health Nursing Certificate preferred. A valid CA driver's license required.
Experience Requirements: 3-5 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner in healthcare clinic or facility. One year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience reasonably related to this assignment.
Special Skills or Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills, organization skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English required. Additional languages preferred. Electronic medical records experience required. Must be able to drive the mobile van to various sites.
