Responsible for assisting the Director in overseeing and directing unit activities and personnel on assigned shift in order to ensure high quality patient care. Determines work priorities, reviews and approves daily assignments. Serves as resource person for unit personnel in resolving operational and patient care problems. Regularly performs duties of Registered Nurse. Maintains governmental regulations while on shift which includes QA items and core measures. Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills. Maintains daily staffing sheets. Monitors daily productive unit of service. Maintains flow in the ED. Answers paramedic radio communication.Qualifications:
Current California State license as a Registered Nurse
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
Mobile Intensive Care Nurse (MICN) Certification within 1 year of hire
Approximately one to two years demonstrated work experience with at least six months concurrent experience in Emergency Department.
