ResponsibilitiesCERTIFIED NURSE ASSISTANT (CNA) – MED/SURGNorthridge Hospital Medical Center The MED/SURG unit at Northridge Hospital Medical Center is actively seeking individuals who demonstrate patient care excellence. We are seeking a Nursing Assistant for MED/SURG to provide basic patient care in accordance with the patient’s individual needs, Hospital policy and standards of patient care. Requirements: High school education and current CPR certification required. Six (6) months recent hospital experience as CNA, successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant program or related work experience, knowledge of medical terminology and basic procedures. Current AHA BLS required. This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
- At least one (1) year experience as a Nursing Assistant required.
- Acute care facility experience preferred.
- Formal Nursing Assistant training preferred.
- Current California Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
- Current AHA BLS card required.
- LA Fire Card required within 90 days of hire.
