Works under the supervision of the Director of Nutrition Services and is responsible for quality food production. The NS Production Supervisor is also responsible for the purchasing of departmental supplies, rounding on patients and researching and selecting products according to quality, price and serviceability. Runs CBORD order guides and programs, Materials Management reports, and other necessary documents to process request. The NS Production Supervisor is responsible for managing staff profiles, prepares schedules and performs attendance tracking. The NS Production Supervisor supports the Director administratively and in the absence of Director ensures the smooth operation of the department.
1. Education: High School diploma or GED required. Associates Degree preferred. Culinary Trained and
2. Licensure: Current Food Safety Manager Certification from an organization accredited by the
American National Standards Institute required. Valid Driver’s License required.
3. Experience: Three (3) years’ leadership experience in Food Service production required.
4.Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to use current general office equipment and computer systems.
5. Interpersonal Skills: High level of positive interpersonal/communication skills enhancing ability to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and staff. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism during variable workloads/strain.
