POSITION SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist II develops and delivers comprehensiveoccupational therapy programs to patients requiring these services.Programs are directed at restoration offunction and consist primarily of activities of daily living, functional musclere-education, dysphagia, perceptual-cognitive training, purposeful functionalactivities, custom splinting, provision of assistive and adaptive devices, andprevocational or work related skills.Re-evaluates and adjusts these programs to meet patients changingneeds.She/he delegates portions oftreatment to aides and assistants, directing and supervising as indicated.Precepts students.Participates in performance improvement anddepartment development activities.Interacts with the multidisciplinary patient care teams for coordinatedpatient care.
