The FLOXAL On-Site Subject Matter Expert ( New Technology) for the AMG On-Sites Group will be responsible to manage the roll out of new On-Site technology for AMG including APSA, PSA, VSA, SMR, and Membrane technologies. The position will report to the Director of On-Site Product Development.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Ensure equipment and installations are compliant with corporate safety standards.
Ensure all new equipment roll outs are managed in compliance with the corporate Industrial Management System (IMS) policies.
Act as liaison between Airgas Engineering, E&C, Vendors, and Commercial Managers to establish equipment configurations and standards.
Responsible for establishing installation standards and maintenance schedules for the new and upgraded product lines.
Ensure installation practices are in compliance with all applicable company, federal, state, and local regulations. Includes: permitting, pre-startup safety review, management of change procedures and design specifications.
Provide technical support to Project Specialists, Project Managers, FLOXAL Reliability Specialists, Regional Management, and Field Service Technicians during planning, installation and start up for all First of Its Kind (FOIK) installations.
Establish design authority for new FLOXAL product line offerings.
Responsible for establishing equipment rehab and maintenance requirements.
Responsible for managing equipment rehab work with third party vendors
Responsible to manage the domestic production of equipment
Responsible for establishing documentation and standards including P&IDs, layouts, electrical one lines, operating procedures and manuals for all new and upgraded products.
Performs periodic audits of installations to ensure compliance with AL standards and continuous improvement.
Participate in Management of Change to maintain equipment configurations.
Provide management reports including progressive project status reporting, and expenditure forecasts.
General Requirements :
Share knowledge and expertise with internal and external customers.
Working knowledge of applicable construction codes including: National Electrical code, International Fire Code, Uniform Building Code, OSHA, Life Safety codes, ASME standards, and CGA standards.
Working knowledge of ISA symbology, as required for P&IDs and electrical one line diagrams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Including facilitation and presentation skills.
Ability to coach and develop others.
Ability to develop and deliver training on On-Site equipment
Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD
Travel required, at times up to 50%
Able to work around process equipment, including traversing ladders and stairs.
Able to wear Personal Protection Equipment
Educational / Experience Requirements
B.S. degree in an Engineering discipline required.
5 years experience in cryogenic industrial gas applications
Progress towards a Professional Engineer License preferred.
Fluent in English.
