Overview:

• Greets patients and escorts them to and from the examining rooms.
• Obtains ocular, medical and family history; assists doctor with additional testing as directed.
• Assists the front desk areas as needed; answers patient telephone calls. 

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Experience: Must have good telephone and communication skills.
• Other: Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Skill in assisting in a variety of treatments, procedures and office procedures for ophthalmology and optometry. Must be able to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies. Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff and the public.
