|Seeking 5+ years experience designing, developing, prototyping, fabricating, testing, troubleshooting, validating, optimizing and athermalizing compound lens optical systems for military and aerospace applications. |
*** Apply testing, analyzing, measuring and modeling technologies to issues involving: Lens characterization, Surface Metrology (toric & aspheric), Interferometry, Radiometry, Modular Transfer Functions, Back Focal Length, Effective Focal Length, Flange Focal Length, Distortion, Field Curvature, Plano Optics, Chief Ray Angle, Astigmatism, Chromatic Aberrations, Multi-wavelength and Intraocular Lens Testing, etc.
*** Design and fabricate custom lenses and filters using TFCalc and FilmStar; source substrates and coating materials; and fabricate custom coated lenses using Physical Vapor Deposition equipment.
*** Analyze complex illumination, ray, interference, refraction, reflectance, photonics, wave optics, polarization, beam synthesis, air gap, glass set, asphere location, and vision issues and design solutions using optical design software such as CodeV and Zemax.
