The Phoenix Veterans Healthcare System is seeking full-time outpatient primary care physicians to support our nation’s heroes in various Phoenix metro area locations. The Primary Care Provider serves as a practicing physician who is responsible for the overall management of patients enrolled for healthcare services provided by the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PHVAHCS). Responsible for administrative tasks associated with clinic operations.
The physicians will work in a team setting with other physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, and support staff assigned to perform duties to accomplish the treatment of our patients.
Average panel size is 1200/1300
Salary will be determined by a compensation panel of your peers.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be B/E or B/C
- Women’s Health experience preferred, but not required
- Computer skills are essential
- Must have full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in ANY U.S. State

Federal Retirement Plan:
- VA employees are covered by the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS). FERS is a three-tiered retirement plan composed of 1) Social Security benefits; 2) FERS basic benefits (pension); and 3) Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) which is a 401K-type plan
- The Federal Government also provides an automatic basic contribution (1% of salary) and up to 4% of salary in matching contributions, depending on the amount of the employee contribution
- For retired military personnel, these benefits are in addition to full monthly retirement pay or pension
