Brief Description Provides planning and administrative support for the daily operations of the County Judge’s Office and acts as a liaison between the County Judge, and elected officials and department heads to ensure effective integration and distribution of information. Investigates and resolves constituent complaints and drafts correspondence and reports.
Detailed Description Communicates with management, elected officials, staff members and county departments, citizens and other governmental entities to ensure coordination, preparation and distribution of information and materials; researches issues and develops strategies for the administration of programs or services, and provides information and/or recommends action to the County Judge. Conducts research, analyzes data and develops materials and reports for speeches, written materials, commissioners court briefings and court orders; and various other presentations. Prepares budget documents and researches pricing and vendor information to justify language used in departmental budget requests; and may recommend budget allocations. Develops and oversees special projects; and develops background information and reports for consideration by the Judge, elected officials, staff and commissioners court. Monitors various community activities and organizations and attends meetings on behalf of the County Judge. Participates in and attends specialized committee meetings, board functions and task forces as required; makes presentations and answers questions with regard to presentation materials and findings. Monitors activities of County departments and elected officials and generates activity reports. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a job related field of study. Three (3) years of job related experience. Skilled in the use of standard software applications. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Standard office environment.
