The position of an Outreach Associate (OA) is an entry level sales position with the goal of adding new patients to an Oak Street Health center. As part of the Outreach team, the OA follows up on warm leads, attends events to meet prospective patients, and schedules those prospective patients for their initial welcome visit appointment with Oak Street Health.

Participate and coordinate activities and events in our local community. These include health fairs, presentations at senior buildings, activities at churches, food pantries, and practically any place where there are a group of older adults.
Discuss our services, gather contact information, and follow up via phone to invite prospective patients into our community centers and encourage eligible prospects to attend a welcome visit with our doctor and care team to experience the Oak Street Health care model.
Establish connections and build relationships with community leaders that have access to our eligible patient population of older adults on Medicare.
Contact community leaders to create events and opportunities for our Outreach Associates to present Oak Street Health to the community, and to bring eligible prospective patients into the our centers.
Heavy prospecting and cold calling to service coordinators at senior buildings, police districts, libraries, churches, park districts, senior groups, social services organizations, food pantries, and other community resource centers serving seniors.
Conduct individual and small group presentations discussing the benefits of Oak Street Health with the intention of scheduling initial physical exams.
Develop a network of referrals and service providers to continuously prospect new patients
Develop strong relationships with the people in their community.
Availability to work some weekends is a must, as Outreach Associates generally work at least two Saturdays or weekend events per month.
Coordinate all details of the events with Oak Street employees to ensure that catering, materials, scheduling are all in sync.
Assist with the training of new and under performing Outreach Associates

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for motivated, experienced individuals with:
At least one year of experience in managed care patient acquisition with a track record of success
Ability to adjust quickly to fluctuating goals and new environments
Strong verbal and written communications skills. You must be passionate, persuasive, and relentlessly helpful.
Comfort working in a performance based compensation model where part of your compensation is determined upon achieving team goals
Relentless pursuit of results
You must have access to a vehicle that you can use every day to drive to events and activities where assigned throughout the Illinois market
This position requires a high attention to detail and creativity
Public speaking combined with strong written and verbal skills
Must be comfortable with some cold calling and prospecting in a sales or business development environment
There is daily accountability on contribution to growth, so there must be a strong desire to work in a high profile position
Proven history of creating relationships with community leaders.
Fluency in Spanish and English required.
US work authorization
