Do you have a keen eye for detail, along with payroll technical know-how? If so, this new opportunity might be perfect for you. We're looking for someone who will support the HR Director and manage employee and contingent employee compensation for a mid-size business on a weekly payroll cycle. Located in the Bartlett, TN area, you will work in a busy office with over 250 employees.
We are looking for someone with solid technical skills as well as a variety of soft skills including critical thinking, communication on all levels, and a willingness to accept new procedures while maintaining speed and accuracy.
As a Payroll Clerk, you will enter payroll information, calculate wages and make payments. You will understand confidentiality and be experienced entering data with great attention to detail. Your excellent math skills will benefit your daily calculation.
-Verify timekeeping records and consult with employees about any discrepancies
-Record payroll data in the ADP software system and verify all amounts prior to cutting checks
-Prepare manual check for over 200 employees
-Monitoring and managing paid time off policies within the payroll system
-Ensuring all new hire, terminations, and all other payroll-related changes are properly and accurately reflected in the payroll system
-Assist in helping management to improve and implement processes and procedures to provide the most efficient and accurate payroll service possible
Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
-Familiarity with ADP payroll software is a plus
-Strong attention to detail required
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite,
-Payroll processing service experience
-Strong communication, social, and organizational skills required
-High School diploma/GED required (Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred)
-Minimum one year payroll department exerience
