The position of Payroll Specialist is responsible for executing US and International payroll for the Company in an accurate and timely manner. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for a wide variety of recordkeeping and payroll activities including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, processing new hire and termination pay and benefits, and maintaining payroll and related records. This position will also be responsible for a variety of tasks associated with the Accounting Department.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all hourly and salary employees using the appropriate HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now - US employees, Celegro Payroll - International employees).
•Coordinate International Payroll (Europe & Asia Pacific) inbound/outbound between the U.S. and Celergo Payroll office in the US.
•Update employee information in HRIS to maintain accurate records (tax forms, direct deposits, garnishments, etc.).
•Calculate and process a wide variety of payroll processing activities, including computing and balancing wages, commission-based income, bonuses, and other imputed income.
•Serve as single point of contact for resolving all International Payroll related inquires/ issues for Europe and Asia Pacific including report preparation and distribution as well as input of compensation data.
•Respond to employee inquiries in timely manner regarding payroll administration and troubleshoot in an attempt to resolve employee concerns.
•Assist hourly employees and managers with Timecard maintenance through the ADP Workforce Now (Time & Attendance).
•Manage PTO accruals, calculations and balances through ADP Workforce Now.
•Track and maintain compliance with federal, state and local laws in regards to payroll.
•Assist with the calculation deductions for group health, dental, life, and disability insurance premiums and process billing reconciliation and payment.
•Generate monthly employee reports and assist with other reporting as needed.
•Coordinate required activities in accordance to HR laws (COBRA, FMLA, EEO, etc.)
•Respect the confidentiality of employee records.
•Assist with other payroll/ HR/ Talent Acquisition related duties as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•High School Diploma, some college highly preferred.
•Minimum of two years’ experience as an administrative and payroll assistant or equivalent experience highly preferred.
•Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office. Knowledge of payroll software (specifically ADP) highly preferred.
