Akron Children's Hospital seeks a full-time pediatrician for our Locust Pediatric Care Group. Locust Pediatric Care Group currently has 3 primary care pediatricians and 2 pediatric nurse practitioners.
Locust Pediatric Care Group (LPCG), a primary care practice at the Akron Childrens Hospital Main Campus, serves as a medical home for children and adolescents and has a particular interest in children with complex health care needs, international families, as well as foster parents and adopted children. The practice is recognized by the National Health Service Corps as a participating site, serving the medically underserved. The practice includes medical interpreters and language access, legal aid, on-site counseling services, nutritional consultation, and social work assistance. Locust Pediatric Care Group received Patient-centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Its a model that improves quality and access to care, empowering patients and families to take an active role in their health care. The practice also participates in the Ohio Department of Medicaid's Comprehensive Primary Care (CPC) program, which empowers primary care offices to use a team-based model of care to improve quality, reduce costs and deliver the best possible care.
