They will be responsible for entering the population of patients and their information into 3 different operation systems. They all need to match.
- They will then be calling any patients that require immediate refill (based on the refill date) Right now they are behind and now have 60 patients that need to be entered and called--- Could be 10 a day that they need to call for refills.
- Reaching out to patients with the initial Orsini Welcome call.
- Contact Matt (manager) in the back about the inventory, They will discuss the patients and talk about when each order needs to go out based on order and when the prior authorization is completed.
- Participate on con calls with the manufacture to discuss specific patients and changes
Soft skills- someone who will 'own' this therapy and patients, flexible to work with a team, and someone that really takes initiative and is able to problem solve on their own.
They still need to have a pharm tech license
Duties from JD:
shipping out equipment that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars so they need someone that can handle that type of environment
speaking to patients and explaining everything- single point of contact for care. They will be paperwork focused with an understanding of speciality drugs
Working with the reimbursement team of speciality drugs
set up orders, schedule, print out documentation, etc.
coordinate patient assistance plans and work with in home nurses to administer therapies
ensuring proper coverage is in place
help in handling outstanding debt in patient accounts
setting up monthly shipments
