Under the direction of a Business Operations Manager (BOM), this position will be responsible for providing support to Divisions within the Agency by facilitating and performing administrative services, including budgetary, accounting, purchasing, and travel.
This position collaborates with a business team to direct and participate in a variety of administrative and business management functions involving making administrative decisions; assisting section managers in formulating and implementing policies and procedures relative to fiscal services and other general business activities.
Activities of the business team include facilitating and supporting Divisions/programs in the process of purchasing, travel arrangement and reimbursement, three way match process for invoice payment, and contract and encumbrance tracking.
The business team works closely with program management as well as other offices within the Agency regarding human resources, budget, procurement and accounting.
This position is responsible for ensuring that the quality of the work products are acceptable and accurate; ensuring that deadlines are met; and may train other business professionals with regards to business and fiscal management.
