Industrial Commission of Arizona Claims is seeking a temporary Claims Specialist
Assignment through the end of the fiscal year with potential for extensions
Provide customer service via phone/and or work product to applicants, carriers/TPA's and attorneys. This would require providing pertinent information, solving customer (complaints) issues, and processing of work product.
Processing of work product requires knowledge of workflow, statutes, rules, policies, procedures and computer database. Critical thinking including using logic and reasoning to come up with a solution.
Knowledge and skill to maintain file records. Knowledge of written and verbal communication.
Work queue involves processing of: Notice of Claim Status (varies), change of doctors, leave the state, retentions, miscellaneous correspondence, hearing decisions, return mail and return solicits, no match medical and petition to reopen, calculating of awards, and issuing awards.
