Physical Therapy Assistant Per Diem at AHMC Healthcare

Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a physical therapist, using physical therapy modalities and procedures, as ordered by the patient’s physician. Administers corrective exercise and treatment assigned patients under the direction of a physical therapist who has assessed and evaluated the patient. May administer such treatments as exercise, gait training, massage, whirlpool, hot packs, diathermy, ultrasound, paraffin, ice packs and traction under direct supervision of the physical therapist.  Follows appropriate documentation procedures.  Perform related duties as requested.

Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association accredited program and/or has been approved by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee of the State Board of Medical Quality Assurance.

Licensed to practice as a physical therapy assistant by the Physical Therapist Examination Committee of the State Board of Quality Assurance.
