The Physician Assistant works collaboratively with the Remix Medical physicians in the care and management of patients.

Notes: The position will be based at Remix Medical Richmond location, but will require travel within the city of Houston. This is a salaried (exempt) position.
Specializes in the prevention and treatment of communicable diseases. Ensures proper disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition.
Provide primary health care in general and preventative care; conduct check-ups, and treat minor illnesses for adults.
Refers patients to outside specialists for consultation as needed.
Maintains patient records including the record of findings, diagnosis, treatment and patient concerns.
Provides health education and counseling to encourage good physical and psychosocial habits and promote disease prevention.
Obtains health histories and performs examinations.
Formulates treatment plans and follow-up
Reviews and interprets diagnostic tests
Initiates medical orders, consulting with physician as necessary.
Writes prescriptions as needed in accordance with scope of his/her practice.
Coordinates the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic.
Instructs patients regarding medications and treatment.
Provides patient education.
Provides oral and written communication with referring physicians and pharmacists
Maintains skills on current trends in equipment, materials and treatments.
Attends conferences and meetings as required.
Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
Performs other related work as required.
