Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Plant Operator is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant process equipment.
What you will do:
Actively engage in personal and co-worker health and safety to ensure we all go home safe, every day
Monitor and operate equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits
Monitor and operate process equipment which can include; starting and stopping pumps, compressors and engines, opening and closing of valves ranging in dimensions of ¼” to 18”, and adjusting pneumatic and electrical controls
Operate computerized control systems
Operate mobile equipment; forklift, front end loader and track mobile
Record and entering data readings from plant equipment and process
- Follow established procedures and recommend changes as required
Respond to and appropriately addresses process upsets
Identify possible or current operating problems and recommend action to resolve any deficiencies in rate, quality or mechanical operation
Identify actual or potential maintenance problems and take appropriate action to see that they are addressed
Responsible for keeping area clean and clutter free
- Progress through training according to established timelines
What you will bring:
- Ability to read, understand and apply operating procedures
- Works with little supervision and must be a self-starter
- Ability to operate mobile equipment (forklift, front end loader, track mobile, etc.)
- Must be able to work rotating shift schedule, days and nights
- Willing to work extended hours, overtime and holidays
- Proficiency with computer applications including MS Office Suite and SAP
- Ability to excel in a team environment
