The Medford Housing Authority (MHA) is seeking a licensed master plumber who will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of public housing units, common areas, and buildings on behalf of the MHA.
This position requires extensive experience and knowledge in the maintenance, installation, and repair of various types of plumbing equipment. Duties include but are not limited to installing and maintaining all plumbing fixtures and associated equipment at the MHA’s approximately 850 public housing units. Troubleshooting, installation, and repair of clogged drains, broken water and drain lines, frozen pipes, gas odors and possible gas leaks and evaluates situation and takes proper corrective action. Install, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, above and underground storm sanitary and water piping systems, sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, condensate pumps, recirculation lines and plumbing fixtures, air systems, appliances, hot water tanks, garbage disposals and drinking fountains.
Minimum ten (10) years of recent experience as a Commonwealth of Massachusetts licensed plumber installing, repairing, and maintaining building systems. Must hold and maintain current Massachusetts Journeymen and Master Plumber’s License and must ensure compliance with appropriate current MA plumbing codes. Must have OSHA 10 Certification and a current Massachusetts Driver’s License is required.
