As part of our Mechanical Engineering Design Team, you will primarily provide planning, design, and construction support for a variety of projects related to facility engineering. You will provide input to the preparation of construction drawings and specifications. You will build and maintain important relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors. The majority of your day would be spent contributing to the plumbing and mechanical engineering design efforts on one or more projects.Perform plumbing and mechanical evaluation and design of related commercial and industrial facilities.Perform load and plumbing modeling calculations.Prepare complex studies, calculations, reports, construction specifications, and other supporting documentation.Perform preparation of construction drawings related to new and existing structures.Clearly convey information to internal and external clients.Assist in the development of scope of work statements and man-hour estimates.Assist with defining scope of work and man-hour requirements.Travel occasionally, as required.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTSYou'll need a minimum of 4 years' experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance or design. US Citizenship is required for this position.Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination.A high school diploma or GED is required.You should have excellent English language skills, both written and verbal.You'll need to be outgoing, organized and assertive. You'll also need to be able to network and build relationships with a wide variety of people.Computer skills using the Microsoft Office Suite.You'll need to be a motivated self-starter who displays a passion for solving problems, interacting in a team environment, and meeting established deadlines.It would be a plus if you have experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace, etc.
