Touro University California, a rapidly growing university offering graduate educational programs in health sciences and education, has an excellent opportunity on our Mare Island campus for a Research Associate or Postdoctoral Fellow available the Lab of Miriam Gochin for one year, to study entry inhibitors against coronaviruses.
This study will be part of a supplement to an NIH-funded research project involving peptide and assay design, small molecule synthesis, antiviral testing, and structural biology targeting HIV-1 entry. Availability of the position will depend on funds from NIH, and is expected to begin during the summer of 2020. The available position requires skills in organic synthesis and peptide chemistry. Experience with biophysical analysis is a plus. Individuals with an MSc or PhD and / or with applicable research experience will be considered. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Applicants should have a record of research accomplishments and excellent communication skills.
