High school graduate or age 18.
A minimum of 6 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units from a two-year or four-year college or university, or demonstrated ECE Camp Keff experience.
Experience working with young children 0 to 5 years old.
Passionate about working with children and creating powerful experiences in a camp setting
Knowledge of Jewish culture a plus
Experience working in a camp setting a plus
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Commit to building a welcoming, safe, and engaging child-focused community.
Responsible for ensuring the emotional and physical safety of all children in your care
Assist Lead Counselor, Counselor and Camp Aide in leading a group of preschool children in a variety of activities for campers including: educational curriculum, indoor and outdoor play, arts, educational content lessons, and swim. Some planning may be required.
Support camp counselors, aides, and camp management in ensuring campers have safe and enjoyable experiences.
Demonstrate professionalism and accountability.
Contribute to and participate in all camp activities, snack and lunch supervision.
Support community and relationship building by being responsive to child, family, and fellow staff needs.
Support and guide assistant counselors and aides to ensure the program runs smoothly
Demonstrate positive communication and conflict resolution strategies which may include: communicating with parents and fellow camp staff, modeling and guiding healthy and developmentally appropriate conflict resolution strategies between children
Assist counselors in delivering curriculum to campers as part of their camp day.
Contribute to a positive work environment and culture through effectively collaborating with other staff and camp management.
Assist in daily setup and cleanup of camp classroom and shared spaces.
Other tasks and duties may be assigned.
