The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of several disciplines whose main objectives include; Influencing systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer/end user; providing affordable, best in class, life cycle sustainment services after system deployment. WLED core competencies include Safety Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, Reliability and Maintainability Engineering, Affordability Engineering, Risk and Opportunity Management, Logistics Engineering, Training, Technical Publications, Parts Availability/COTS Management, Parts and Materials Control Board (PMCB), Spares and Material Management, Repair & Upgrade, Depot/Field Engineering, Systems Integrity, Failure Reporting and corrective Action System (FRACAS), and Availability Engineering. Patriot Product Line Sustainment Logistics Specialist: This position will report to the Whole Life Engineering Directorate. The position will provide support to the Deployment, Fielding, and Sustainment (DFS) IPTs Logistics team and will regularly interact with the IPT, CBTs and PMO leadership on execution of contract scope for sustainment capabilities. These capabilities include Logistics Management Information (LMI) databases, Enhanced Deep Maintenance (EDM) execution, transportation of sustainment resources, fielded configuration management, field maintenance support. This position will provide oversight to multiple program teams executing sustainment scope, and work to solve problems when cost, schedule, or scope variances arise. This position requires an active U.S. Secret Clearance. General Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Performance to cost and schedule targets Sub-IPT leads define program execution plan to be implemented by DFS program leads Maintain open and frequent communication with DFS program leads. Support proposals for Sustainment Logistics scope. Resolve cost, scope, and schedule issues Support the Risk & Opportunity process across all programs Support DFS program leads to meet requirements with external partners Required Skills: 8+ years of experience in logistics support environment and/or equivalent business experience Knowledge and application of logistics principles Direct experience in program planning, budgeting, and tracking (EVMS) to cost and schedule Currently possess a Secret Clearance (DoD) Desired Skills: Six Sigma Certified (R6S or equivalent) Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team, inspiring confidence in others Experience in the deployment planning of sustainment resources for OCONUS fielded systems Elevated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, general proficiency with Microsoft Office products Excellent communication skills Detailed oriented with ability to detect anomalies within execution streams Patriot System product knowledge experience Experience in planning/executing field system maintenance and transportation of associated support resources to global locations Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements Demonstrated ability to influence through teaming and collaboration PMX Certification at PM Level 4 Required Education: BS/BA in Engineering, Math, Science (STEM), Business or any related Major. 8 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a BA/BS This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.142396BR 142396
