Our team is chartered to ensure quality of our engineering system designs, to make sure we build scalable, reliable manufacturing lines to support hardware assembly defect detection. We are looking for an engineering manager to help us scale. The manager will be leading a group of talented engineers to build robust engineering infrastructure to push quality upstream and to ensure end to end experience. Strong partnership with cross groups and different product groups in the company will be critical to the success of this role. **Responsibilities** + Foster a collaborative environment to build our engineering system, and drive a culture where we learn from customer feedback + Design and build robust engineering infrastructure and automation to gate quality at different stages of the engineering pipeline. + Lead Manufacturing system design verification and planning to ensure production uptime and accuracy. + Be a model leader for a team where learning from peers and growing as a team is a core principle. Help us grow the next generation devices engineers. + Bring a strong design sense that will help us architect solutions across a fast-evolving technical landscape that can power our platform for years to come + Innovate on difficult technical problems in a foundational space that will affect these new platforms **Qualifications** + BS/Master degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. + 5+ years' experience leading and building engineering team + 8+ years of engineering development and best practices. + Experience overseeing project from inception to product shipping and sustain engineering. + Strong debugging and technical problem solving skills, as well as a passion to solve hard, ambiguous problems + Experienced in developing plans/strategies and ability to collaborate cross team to define measurement for quality, assess risk and mitigation plan + Strong testing mentality and an eye for quality defects. + Excellent communication and team collaboration a must. + Statistical analysis skill a plus. + Experience working in hardware manufacturing is a plus. + Hands-on experience working with Lean/Agile software development practices a plus. \#MTE Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
