Performs all abdominal and OB/GYN procedures requested according to the protocol set up in the Ultrasound Procedure Manual. Reviews patient charts that are presented for Ultrasound procedures in order to give the interpreting physician a clear history of the patient’s condition. In addition, the Technologist will be required to schedule procedures, keep required records, quality control check on instrumentation, periodically review completed cases for quality assurance procedure.
Graduate of a Sonography or Radiologic Technology program. Registry in good standing or Registry eligible by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). If registry eligible must pass the registry within two years of employment. BLS required.
