Technical Product Manager for Marketing and Advertising technologies system integration and data onboarding is a visionary, technical subject matter expert, analyst, respected leader of business and technology execution, and professional relationship builder all rolled into a single dynamic package. The Technical Product Manager is ultimately accountable, responsible, and has ownership of T-Mobile's internal and external products, platforms, services, experiences envisioned and created to achieve the specific business purpose or business results. At a high level this means identifying the intersection of technical feasibility, business objectives, data governance and privacy, securing funding, and leading a cross-functional business and technical team, as well as key stakeholders to deliver against the opportunity.

As a subject matter expert of various Marketing and Advertising technologies your day to day activities or responsibilities include: writing technical specifications and business requirements; determining features and specifications; defining long-term Marketing and Advertising technologies ecosystem strategy; creating the product road map; contributing to architecture discussions; driving technical delivery end to end; defining scope for releases/product increments; partnering with technological development internal and external teams, tech support , creative agencies, project/program management, marketing, media performance, Legal for data privacy, commercial and strategy teams, and other key stakeholders to define release schedules. You will influence Technology teams to take advantage of new marketing and onboarding tools, integration and design paradigms; embrace data driven marketing; and adopt a culture that puts experimentation, measurement and analysis at the center of every Product and Marketing initiative.

Minimum Required
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5+ years of industry experience is required - preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science or any other quantitative or technology field. Master’s Degree will be a plus.
- Proven track record of delivering technical and business specification, learning new processes, systems, platforms; experience in multiple Marketing technology channels and Advertising technology platforms is preferable. Platforms including DMPs, Data on-boarders, DSPs, Ad Servers, Channels including owned and paid digital and experience in direct communication channels (Email, SMS and Direct Mail).
Responsibilities:
- Owns Marketing and Advertising technologies ecosystem end to end as an enterprise product.
- Partners with business and internal/external stakeholders to understand and identifies areas of opportunity.
- Write detailed technical specifications and business requirements
- Conducts analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to identify product innovation opportunities or root cause of issues and assess opportunity size and impact.
- Leverages rapid hypothesis driven testing methodologies to inform direction and prioritize investment.
- Conducts cost-benefit / ROI / NPV analysis, to support decision making.
- Works with stakeholders and follows enterprise process to secure and maintain product funding.
- Develops and maintains current understanding of Marketing and Advertising tech trends. Assesses how trends impact the roadmap or create opportunity for innovation of the ecosystem.
- Communicates, influences, and sells ideas at Director level and below. This includes regularly delivering product presentations.
- Conducts specific ad hoc analysis and provides insights to management on request.
- Recommends product feature set or technical improvements to improve customer experience.
- Works with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities.
- Translates product/platform strategy by writing detailed features, technical specifications, and business requirements consumable for Technical Dev teams.
- Collaborates with PM and Dev leaders to design, architect and assemble effective Agile delivery teams
- Owns and manages Marketing and Advertising technologies integration and onboarding ecosystem backlog and priorities with our business and technology partners.
- Scopes and prioritizes activities based on business and customer impact.
- Collaborates with Architecture and Dev teams to ensure technical debt and long-term technical investment is factored into roadmap.
- Ensures existing production defects are factored into regular backlog prioritization for resolution based on priority.
- Collaborates with stakeholders and Dev/Execution teams to create and communicate anticipated release schedule.
- Holds regular meetings and coordination activities with Technology, Media performance, PM’s and Product Owners to ensure parallel work is in sync and dependencies are known.
- Generates and maintains dashboards and reports that track product health and success metrics, technical KPI’s.
- Runs beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples.
- Supports media and marketing, and other stakeholder teams with product or technical knowledge, presentations, and additional documentation.
- Assists with the overall execution relating to all aspects of the software development process, from defining the strategy and architecture through deployment and support.
- Communicates technical challenges to stakeholders and makes educated trade-off decisions based on those challenges.
- Accountable for product quality and performance in production environment. Accountable for product team response in event of critical or high impacting defect, including communications to stakeholders at all levels.
- Identify execution, operational, organizational issues that impede product success. Drive improvement plan to change or resolve issues
- Grasps and translates abstract concepts; uncover rules, definitions, and available configurations of various black-box environments, with limited availability of quality documentation or subject matter expertise.
- Develops positive working relationships with many technical and non-technical teams.
- Develops adoption tools and training material. Produce high-quality documentation including operational guidelines, training and reference material tailored to functional groups and audience background.
- Manages development of adoption tools and training materials for Technical Product Management team.
