Shift Requirements2nd Shift About The Opportunity Position Summary Supervises the activities of production personnel engaged in all facets of the manufacturing function. Essential to this Position
The Production Supervisor responsibility is to maintain high production ensuring that all finished goods meet customer’s specifications, GMPS and internal SOPs.
Essential Job Functions Provide strong leadership ability to provide coaching, mentoring, and training to direct reports, including performance appraisals, professional development, safety training and strategic alignment to company goals and objectives Highly skilled at ensuring fair and positive administration of employee related issues and concerns in a proactive and timely manner partnering with Human Resources Knowledge of measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and the quality of the products given to our customer Analytical ability to understand production line efficiencies regarding labor, machinery and production methods Exceptional safety track record setting the standard regarding safe work practices Work with shift managers and supervisors to increase daily production and employees are trained properly. Work with the warehouse department to ensure jobs are staged appropriately, and the product/components are brought to the line in a timely manner. Reduce direct labor cost by increasing productivity through analysis of line lay-outs and manning levels. Review rates every data form as frequent as possible to maintain or adjust lines to keep production to the highest. Work with Quality Leaders and make adjustments to the production lines during the course of the day to increase production. Ensure company GMP’S and SOPs are being followed. Work directly with supervisors to make sure finished good inspections are being performed Keep a strong bridge of communication between Production and the Quality, Inventory, Logistics departments Must be able to work under extreme pressure in a faced paced environment, and adjust to immediate changes as needed
Education & Experience High School Diploma/GED required Minimum 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in a leadership role Knowledge of Microsoft office: specifically Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of Navision system is preferred Bilingual English-Spanish required Must have demonstrated leadership skills. Must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment. Must be available via email and phone 24/7 Ability to motivate team members Ability to address employee concerns in a professional manner
