Performs a wide variety of technical and analytical assignments to include: extract and analyze data, update accounts, prepare letters/memos/reports, and make recommendations to improve business processes within functional department. On a regular and continuous basis, exercises judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results having an impact on people, costs, and/or quality of service within the functional area. Title may reflect departmental designation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs diversified duties including reports preparation, data collection, trend analysis, reconciliation reports, and business and process documentation.
Monitors and analyzes program KPIs and performance data to identify and clearly communicate opportunities for improvement.
Utilizes available data and customer input to develop operational forecasts.
Analyzes budget patterns, program expenditures, and prepares budget reports for management.
Assists in the development and maintenance of a budget monitoring systems.
Assists in the development of program budgets and business proposals.
Performs research tasks to obtain various types of data to derive relationships involving system parameters, schedules, and cost variations.
Serves as cost analyst participating in the planning, coordinating, and conducting of operations research studies of specific materiel/support systems.
Monitors cost, schedule, technical, and operational aspects of projects for which responsible.
Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the company, and the community; maintains professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
Confers with appropriate internal and external administrative offices to ensure that required procedures are followed.
Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 3 years Business/Operations/Financial Analyst experience preferred.
Experience with military aircraft sustainment preferred.
