Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager at Western States Contracting

- Project Manager/ Assistant Project Manager - Government, public and/or privates sector projects including:

• Roadway Improvements
• Mass grading projects
• Waterlines (ductile iron, HDPE, PVC, steel) & sewer construction (PVC, HDPE, VCP, Manholes, Lift Stations)
• Storm drain systems (RCB, RCP, HDPE, PVC, Manholes, Structures)
• Electrical infrastructure underground conduit systems along with communications & streetlights

Experience

BS Degree in engineering, construction, OR related field is preferred- Ideal candidate will have 3 years of civil construction experience- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 year experience as an Estimator or Project Manager on similar types and sizes of projects

Must have strong organizational skills to complete a high volume of estimates per week- Ideal candidate will have estimating and project management software experience, Microsoft Office, and project schedule experience.

Must be able to complete estimates for various jobs ranging from Time & Material, Hard Bid, Master Service Agreements

This position may occasionally require travel, typically within the state. Salary is strictly commensurate with experience.

• Ability to operate a vehicle
• Ability to collect field data in a safe, timely, and accurate manner while working alone
• Ability to review supplied field data for accuracy and completeness
• Ability to comprehend advanced civil designs including underground facilities
• Possess a broad understanding of civil engineering including operations & construction
• Ability to perform quality control reviews of projects with low to moderate complexity
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Ability to work at desk and computer for 8+ hours per day.
• Ability to work full time
