We are looking for an exceptional Project Manager in our Federal Way, WA office to join our thriving Water Business Unit.
What you’ll be doing: You will use your experience with evaluation, design, and construction of facilities relating to water, wastewater, recycled water, utility infrastructure, conveyance and process modifications, to provide environmental and civil engineering consulting services to the firm’s municipal and industrial sector clients. This will include managing multi-disciplinary teams, oftentimes across offices, using your excellent communication skills. Conduct all aspects of project management including preparing and negotiating professional services contracts, managing the quality and financial performance of projects, and identifying and resolving budget and schedule issues. You will also have the opportunity to work with all levels of engineers and scientist to foster your growth in the industry and help mentor junior staff. You will participate in or lead business development efforts including direct client interaction, coordination with marketing staff, preparing proposals, and participating in or leading interview teams. Travel to project sites and potentially other Kennedy Jenks offices will be necessary.

- BS or MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or similar engineering field
- A minimum of five years as a consulting engineer conducting planning, detailed designs, and project engineering or project management of water infrastructure projects
- Ability to travel
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Energy, focus and the desire to grow in your career
Preferred Qualifications or Expertise:
- PE in Washington or be able to obtain Washington PE registration within 6 months of hire
- Site civil design
- Technical writing
- AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus
