Project Management: Leads capture efforts to secure new or re-compete contracts, or task order business. Has accountability to shape and win new business through a balanced focus on customer value, the competitive environment, and the corporation's best interests. Develops capture strategy including business solution for pursuit of opportunities; identifies potential customers, competitive assessments, teaming .suppliers, and prices-to-win; participates in bid 1 and proposal activities. Has responsibility to lead and integrate the assigned cross-functional team and authority to direct team activities for the duration of the pursuit. Maintains ongoing interaction with business development. Drives project management for technical and process improvement projects.
Responsibilities include developing productivity tools, managing documentation, tracking schedules.
The Manager effort consists of the following inter-correlated tasks:
1. Bid and Propose (B&P) estimating, requests and tracking process
2. Coordination and analysis of business process
3. Orders (Sales) planning and tracking
4. Bridge administrative support and reporting
5. Proposal and other Business Management process improvement activities including
Acquisition Process Improvement (API) Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and Excellence Activities
6. Coordinating Business Management Functional Meetings
7. Program Financial analysis and tracking of yearly plan, proposal cost sheets, etc.
.8. Pre-Contract Proposal development including pursuits, Engineering Change Proposals and Contract Modifications and Amendments.
Requirements: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, preferred but not required and maybe waived if candidate has sufficient practical experience.
