The Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Department of PM&R is seeking a full-time clinical faculty member to join our inpatient rehabilitation psychology service. The successful candidate must have a PhD or PsyD and be licensed or license eligible to practice psychology in Virginia. The position involves working as an integral part of our interdisciplinary Neuro/Stroke and General rehab teams (including physicians, nurses, care partners, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and more).
As part of a thriving academic medical center, our faculty educate learners from multiple disciplines, including our residents in PM&R. The individual will be expected to pursue scholarly activities and research interests, as well as to contribute meaningfully to the goals of the department, the organization, the community, and the larger field of psychology. Strong
interpersonal, communication, and time management skills are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a team environment, with leadership skills and experience preferred. S/he will be expected to foster a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment as an engaged and valued faculty member at VCU.
VCU Healths Rehabilitation Program provides acute, inpatient rehabilitation services for patients with SCI, TBI, stroke, and other patients focused on making functional gains after illness or injury.
