The Psychotherapist II serve as the primary-care provider of outpatient mental health services to children and adolescents identified as eligible for MHSA FSP program and eligible as Severely Emotionally Disturbed. Psychotherapists are responsible for assessment, treatment planning and psychotherapy provision to a defined caseload of patients and their families. Caseload expectations are developed in consultation with the Clinical Director of Mental Health. Psychotherapist II position requires licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Minimum Education/Training Required: MA or MS Degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy. Student placements or internship placements must include child/adolescent psychotherapy training. Minimum Experience Required Post-Masters Placement in a child, adolescent of Family mental health setting License, Registration or Certification Required Licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Social Worker or Marriage and Family Therapist. Skills Required: Case management. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
