Support efforts to improve and ensure high quality of products and processes throughout the organization by performing timely and accurate evaluations and analysis of raw materials, products, processes and facilities that support the safe and efficient manufacturing and shipment of quality products according to specifications.
Assists with problem solving/process improvements related to product quality and identifying areas for improvement and supporting implementation of effective solutions.
Follows procedures and requirements and works to ensure Food Safety, Quality and GMP guidelines are followed working closely with cross functional teams to support continued growth and success.
·Monitoring and collecting qualitative/quantitative data for all products to ensure that products meet specifications. Inputting analytical data into the computerized lab management system. Maintains a clean / safe work environment. Maintain and calibrate test equipment as scheduled. Follow Lab Standard operating procedures and methods.
·Troubleshooting/Holds/MFG Issues: including risk assessments, deviations, retesting, rejections of raw materials and finished goods
·Monitoring and approving production equipment sanitation, start up and performance. Monitoring environment of plant using test equipment and procedures. Monitoring production lines and operator checks routinely throughout production auditing. Monitoring plant GMPs and Quality and Food Safety programs by completion of assigned audits and support of corrective actions.
·Supports technical, quality and food safety, continuous improvement, cost reduction and R&D projects assigned.
·Supports technical communication of information in shift team meetings and with cross-functional shift team members as assigned.
·Investigate, test, and collect data to improve a process or improve product/product packaging on a regular basis.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY:
·High School diploma or equivalent and 3 years quality experience (preferable in a food manufacturing facility).
·Demonstrates written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, and working knowledge and use of computers are essential. Intermediate level in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point applications.
·Understands the essential function of the various unit operations in a food processing facility.
·Demonstrates good knowledge of statistical process control techniques and their application to process control and continuous improvements.
·Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage difficult and challenging situations.
·Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and present and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
·Demonstrates good people skills.

·Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, FDA and OSHA regulations, and Labelling Laws.
