POSITION: Quality Management Intern
DEPARTMENT: Organizational Quality and Culture
Location: 248 West 35th Street
REPORTS TO: Quality Manager
Start Date: Must be available to start immediately
Schedule: flexible (Monday - Friday, between 9AM - 5PM)

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This internship offers a rewarding, hands-on experience by providing an opportunity to gain practical knowledge of quality improvement practices in various programs in a FQHC. Intern responsibilities could include data analysis and aggregation, chart audit documentation database development, research and evaluation and detailed project management.
� Compile, analyze, and create summaries of information that support quality improvement initiatives. These projects include but are not limited to OMH PSYCKES and HealthyHearts NYC initiative.
� Assist with the agency patient satisfaction survey process including researching evidence based tools, scanning and input of data into the system, analysis and reporting of results
� Researching evidence based interventions for implementation in a community health center targeting homeless underserved populations
� Input, QA and reporting of data in various quality databases
� Assist and participate in cross functional projects and teams including the agency incident review committee
� Conduct and summarize research to inform outcome measurement, quality improvement projects, development of evaluation plans, data collection and analysis
- Assist with various projects as needed utilizing agency software and Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Access and Outlook

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be enrolled in a MPA/MPH Program with a focus in health care, quality improvement and/or program evaluation. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite specifically Access and Excel. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
