About the Job
Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor
Responsibilities:
• Complies with and enforce all company policies and plant rules and procedures, to include Safety, Quality, GMPs, and General Work Rules.
• Assist the Quality Manager with regulatory audits, 3rd party inspections, Division audits and customer visits.
• Manage the sanitation programs and personnel to ensure safe food and quality products.
• Drive initiatives in relation to plant sanitation goals and reduction of pest activity in order to achieve plant goals via continuous improvement and alignment to the company’s vision, mission and values
• Drive compliance and on time completion of Master Sanitation Schedule, develop SSOPs, provide training for sanitation personnel as required.
• Assist QA Manager with quality problem follow-up investigations.
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the SQF Systems.
• Write SOP’s & SSOP’s in order to facilitate and simplify procedures for all Sanitation & Production employees to comfortably carry out day to day tasks.
• Act as backup for Quality Manager when necessary in his/her absence.
• Administers discipline, correction action and coaching as needed.
• Guides coaches and develops employees in a worker-friendly team environment that rewards performance with respect and trust.
Skills, Experience and Education:
• Employee must have knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Environmental Monitoring, Chemical Handling, Audits, and Inspections.
• Must possess the ability to coach and train on Food Safety related programs.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation in food manufacturing is desired.
• HACCP Certified or SQF practitioner certification is desired.
• Competent computer skills; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, and Zontec are preferred; and the ability to learn new systems.
• Must be self-starting. Strategic agility and process management skills needed.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace, multi task environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical and decision making abilities combined with excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Must be flexible for adjusting work schedule based on business needs.
• Some weekend work required.
• Effective listener and team player.
• Able to work effectively with others, have good interpersonal and leadership skills
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to lead multiple projects.
• Three to five years experience in Food Manufacturing, Food Safety, Quality or Sanitation
• Direct experience with GFSI certification (SQF, BRC, etc.) is required.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree – Type:Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry or a related field is required.

Salary
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 /year
plus 10% bonus and excellent benefits package
