Position OverviewPOSITION OVERVIEW
The Recruitment & Admissions Summer Associate will support the RAD staff in various activities to ensure that first year AmeriCorps Members are hired and start on time. Summer Associates will work closely with local RAD staff members to assist with prospects and candidates throughout the recruitment cycle with an emphasis on support for the incoming corps.
Prospect and Candidate Engagement and Support (30%)
Provide direct outreach to prospects in the pipeline, sharing local site information, service experience, and admissions process advice to increase started to submitted rate.
Provide interview and selections logistical support, including interview scheduling and reference collection support.
Connect with invited applicants to provide informational support, answer questions, and increase potential invited to confirmed yield rate.
Undertake outreach to and assessment of non-responsive individuals to support their engagement and assess their interest when needed.
Confirmed AmeriCorps Member Engagement (60%)
Support local implementation of a shared national strategy to retain incoming AmeriCorps members through communication and preparation, increasing the persistence to service rate.
Communicate regularly with incoming AmeriCorps Members to convey the service experience, assist them in preparing for the role, and building excitement and community.
Assist with AmeriCorps Member onboarding, background check, and registration processes.
Provide direct counseling to incoming AmeriCorps members around housing, budgeting, relocation, and other transition-related support areas.
